The Butterfly Fairy Characters
Cindy White
Type: Swallowtail (unknown)
Cindy White or Princess Cindy White is better known as the princess of the butterflies. She is kind, innocent and beautiful. Daughter of Queen Sonne (Mother Nature), Cindy is born with white swallowtail wings representing an angel of light. Her kingdom is the Fairins where butterflies, moths, and animals of her kingdom come to greet her as the new royal highness.
Flita
Type: Old world swallowtail
Flita is Cindy's royal guardian and a loyal friend to Cindy White. Flita is sometimes confused to be a tiger swallowtail, as the two species have similar wing patterns. Flita is a very kind and gentle soul. She brings joy and laughter to Cindy White, Drake Beary, and everyone she meets. Just like Cindy White. Flita was created by Queen Sonne White, by natural magic. She can be seen in the first story and depicted white as snow. However later in the story her natural color changes once Cindy White has her wings.
Sonne White
Type: Swallowtail (unknown)
Sonne is the queen of the Fairins; her nature kingdom. She plays the role of being Cindy's mother and makes sure every creature connects to the circle of life. Whether butterfly or other animal, she creates them in their own image. In fact she is sometimes known in the stories as Mother Nature. The sun is symbolic to Sonne White, and actually Sonne is sun in English translation. She is most active at day, while her royal mate King Himmel White is active when the moon is lighted.
Drake Beary
Type: Pipevine swallowtail
Cindy's husband is known as the prince of the night, or better known as Drake Beary. Drake is a fearless fairy who protects all who know him and love him. Drake Beary is actually from the North American continent. His ancestors flew to the Farins when he was first born and made him a prince instead of the chief's son. Like a lone wolf he howls under the full moon and carries his golden sword for protection and to protect his loved ones from any danger.
Stacy
Type: Monarch butterfly
Stacy is the Monarch butterfly that makes an appearance in the story, 'Journey of the Monarchs." She has an owl feather attached to her wings when one of her own wings were injured in flight. This became a problem when she attempted to migrate to Mexico.
Scarlett Rosa
Type: Monarch butterfly
Like Stacy, Scarlett Rosa is a monarch butterfly, except she is a fairy princess of the Mexico. She is in charge of caring for milkweed which is the host plant for monarch butterflies. Born with the gift of sacred fire, Scarlett has the ability to create fire with her bare hands and form magical spells. \However, she uses the fire only for good. Scarlett is known to be a warrior-like princess in Journey of the Monarchs story by protecting her kingdom from any evil that comes her way.
Azure Lily
Type: Blue morpho
Once she came out of her host plant as a butterfly, Azure Lily became a South American princess, specifically Columbia. She is very shy and ashamed of herself, but she is a kind and loyal friend to Cindy & Drake. Her story is told in the tale "Land of the Morpho". She lives near the river of seven colors. where there is colorful life forms around her jungle kingdom.
Luna Isabella
Type: Virgin tiger moth
The head of the Fairins at night, and adopted daughter of King Himmel & Queen Sonne, is princess Luna Isabella. She is known to be Cindy's adopted sister in the tale, Guardian of the Night. Luna is the only moth fairy princess known in the butterfly fairy books. She use moon magic in order to make dark matter disappear. She is also friends with fireflies instead of her moth kind. Luna was raised by an owl named Hooter, a Eurasian eagle owl who is a duke for King Himmel.
