Answer: Yes to Spencer and his family, Cindy is real. Cindy White came to him in a dream in October 16, 2016. He immediately woke up in the night and saw a butterfly on his window.
2. How did the authors come up with the idea of TBF?
Answer: Inspired by Spencer's dream and vision back in 2016 and evolved into its own tale.
3. Are any characters based on real life creatures ?
Answer: Yes! Only some butterflies were real and inspired Spencer and Joyce to write The Butterfly Fairy tales and The Butterfly Fairy. These real butterflies were:

1.Journey of the Monarchs - Does evil King Dunkel still live? Join Cindy & Flita on a trip to Mexico to help with the annual monarch migration.

Answer: The authors, Spencer & Joyce researched the biology of butterflies, and myths about butterflies around the world. They even researched for a specific location to set the Fairins kingdom!
7. Has Spencer ever worked with butterflies?
Answer: Yes Spencer raised butterflies and moths to study their biology and and grew host plants. He has raised monarchs, luna moths, polyphemus moths, cecropia moths, a variety of swallowtails, painted ladies, and red admirals.
